Maximum yield from the side zones of the sawlog

Abstract:
The intention of this work was to show one of the theoretical ways of determining the maximum yield when sawing the log side zones. It was found that, theoretically speaking, there existed a difference in the percentage of utilization of log side zones while using the methods proposed in this work and methods known from our technical literature [1]. The proposed methods gave somewhat better results.
