Supplying wood industry with raw material

Critical problems of wood industry in our country lie in supplying with raw material in primacy, semifinished and finished production of wood. Due to unsettled relations in production as a whole, larger quantities of logs and sawn goods are not manufactured in reproductive chain of the SR of Croatia. Considerable quantities of logs (abt. 350.0 00 s q.m) are being despatched in export and in other republics to be manufactured in sawmills. The logs are sold at average prices without quality criteria. There are no basic prerequisites to dialect logs to all stages of production. Due to shortage of logs on market, an unloyal battle exists between the factories, thus making worse the relations in production as a whole. Because of a great difference in prices of sawn goods on domestic market and in exports, practically sawn goods of deciduous harwood are not sold on domestic market, as for the price or export premium to attract a major interest in developing cooperation relationship in productions.
