Abstract:

In the article power plants in combination with hot water heating systems (total energy systems) which supply production equipments with the main energies - electricity and heat - are discussed. Their conception is illustrated and described on the schematic flow-diagrams in two altennatives: one with the single-stage heating system and the other with the multi-stage one. General equations to determine size and performances of the main parts are derived. The energy losses of the power plant with the single-stage heating system are calculated which can be avoided when applied the multi-stage heating system. Instructions for the application and the suitability in the industrial practice depending on the number of heat consumers and the variety of their working temperatures are given. A coefficient of the utilization of the steam energy of the total energy system is introduced and specified.
