Extraction dynamics of extractive substances from wood by using a mixture of benzene and methanol

Extraction of wood extractive substances was carried out by using a mixture of benzene and methanol solvents in the volume ratio 1:1 in the heartwood of fir, Abies alba Mill., juniper, Picea abies Carst, oak, Quercus petraea Liebl., poplar, Populus alba L. and locust, Robinia pseudoacacia L. From the results obtained it can be concluded that optimum time for removing extractive substances from wood is 10 hours.
