Structure dimension tendency of sawmill conifer logs

The paper presents results of dimensional structure of saw-mill conifer logs manufactured in one bigger saw-mill. The average diameter of logs was determined on the ground of absolute frequencies and volume participation of separate thickness groups and the average log taper. It has been established that saw-mill conifer raw material evidently decreases its average diameter from year to year. These smaller diameters of logs are accompanied by higher logs taper, which represents an additional unfavourable influence on saw-mills which can be expected in the coming period.
