Optimization of operation mode on wood working machines with a constant main cutting speed

Setting of working machines in an optimal mode of operation is not a simple task because of influential factors characteristic for optimization of cutting operation. This work demonstrates the method of optimization on the wood working machines with a constant main cutting speed. Such machines are mainly used in timber industry. All the limiting factors which might appear in the wood working operation (possibilities of control, cutting quality, available powers, stability of tools, etc) have been taken into consideration. The idea has been explained by charts and by a gradual development of mathematical model of function criterion of optimization.
