Investigations of some physical properties of black pine wood from the forest area »Konjuh« Živinice

This paper gives results of investigations of macroscopic characteristics, density of wood, shrinkage and fibresaturation point of black pine wood (Pinus nigra Arn.). The mentioned properties have been examined separately for standard raw material (sawn logs) and separately for unstandard raw material (thin roundwood). The results obtained have been compared reciprocally, as well as with the results of the same properties from other authors for black pine on the territory of Yugoslavia. These properties were investigated purposively for use of black pine in production of tables and chairs from solid wood in WO »Konjuh«.
