Problems of development of mechanical wood treatment

In the first part of his paper the author exposes the main concepts-terms (which are differently explained in the literature and in practice) and their significance. In the second part he discusses the basic technical-technological characteristics of mechanical wood treatment and development of basic activities: production of boards, veneer, joinery, laminated boards, particle boards and other products of mechanical wood treatment. The third part deals with possibilities and trends in the development of mechanical wood treatment according to the basic activities, with emphasized application of computors and other contemporary instruments for managing technology and production in general.
