Increase of thermal efficiency in industrial boiler-rooms by combustion of wet solid fuels using fluid driers

Abstract:

This report deals with the operation method of medium and small capacity industrial boiler-rooms by the utilization of very wet solid fuels such as: forest, wood, agricultural and some industrial waste, city refuse, peat, and lignite. Preliminarily comminuted, the fuels dry in the fluid drier utilizing waste flue gases by which is obtained the thermal efficiency of 0.95 in comparison with the maximum thermal efficiency of 0.80 in contemporary boiler-rooms without the utilization of fluid driers. Enclosed are the tables and scheme of work.
