Abstract:

The article deals with the characteristic window frame - sash fit. lt describes the air escape and the resistance to driving rain, as well as today developed methods of window testing accepted by a large number of German window manufacturers. These methods make possible to control and maintain durability of window quality and a further development of the window technique. This development pushes its way because of now present demand for comfort and the shortage of power-supply. Therefore the optimum solutions in window technique are called for, in the first place from the heat loss view resulted by the air escape. Conclusively, the article describes the organization of the window testing in West Germany, with a particular stress on the complete execution of window tests in the Institut für Fenstertechnik e.V. Rosenheim.
